2008 – -Residents were treated to a tour by officials of NHCC of the barn and “poor house” at A. Holly Patterson Extended Care Facility visit to consider the feasibility of the old barn as a community center.

Governor George Pataki made good on his promise to visit Uniondale Neighborhood Center. The visit arranged by Luis Vasquez, Executive Director of CASA, and member of the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, took place on Uniondale Neighborhood Center’s Annual Summer Cookout.
