September 15, 2008 — Nassau Health Care Corporation agreed in writing to a benefits agreement with Uniondale Neighborhood Center and the Uniondale community.

After a series of individual meetings with various organizations in Uniondale, as part of the deliberations of an advisory board appointed by Nassau County Executive, Thomas Suozzi NHCC has agreed to a community consensus for the A. Holly Patterson campus. And following a meeting with David Greaves, the president, and the Board of Directors of the Uniondale Neighborhood Center, specific items were agreed upon concerning a new community center, recreational and open space for the campus.

At the request of David Greaves, NHCC then codified the agreements in a letter dated September 15, 2008, to the Uniondale Neighborhood Center. The deal represented a long history going back before March 19, 2000, of support from NHCC and the desire on both sides to collaborate on the construction of a community center in Uniondale.
